Reflecting back on our Superstars of the Year Celebration and looking forward to our coming event!
At Boys & Girls Club of Greater Conejo Valley, we do our part in educating children, encouraging them to have fun, and keeping them safe no matter what. Even so, we love to take the time to honor the local youth and volunteers who have made a significant contribution.
Last year, we celebrated by hosting our 13th Annual Superstars of the Year Celebration. This year, we’ll be holding our 14th annual event on March 19th, 2017 at the Civic Arts Plaza from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The public is free to attend, and is open to all ages and recognizes those who have made our lives invaluably better.
The afternoon includes an exciting line-up of celebrity stars that will host, perform, and meet and greet the audience before the show and during intermission. The event will also include musical, dance, and drama performances by members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley, among others.
The special highlight of the afternoon is the awarding of the Youth of the Year. A winner will be selected from one of two categories – 14-18-year-olds and aged 13 or below. Winners will be recognized with a cash prize and certifications from local businesses. The youth in the 14 to 18-year-old category can go on to participate in area coastal, state, and regional competitions with an opportunity to win scholarship money, and meet the President of the United States in the final round.
Furthermore, there will be a silent auction and Special Guest Appearances by Dylan Chambers, Brianna Chromer, and Sophina DeJesus. Don’t miss out on this special event!
